Privacy Policy
Spirit Animals

Last updated: 22 August 2026
Spirit Animals is the public name of this website. In this policy, “the operator”, “we”, “us”, and “our” mean the person or legal entity responsible for operating the site and deciding how its first-party records are used.
The operator’s approved legal name and postal contact have not yet been supplied for publication. We do not use the Spirit Animals name to imply a registered-company identity. Until that factual wording is approved, privacy questions and rights requests can be sent through the Contact and Corrections page.
Information the site collects
- Visits and security: requested pages, timestamps, IP address, browser or device information, session data, security tokens, and diagnostic information may be processed in server logs and monitoring tools.
- Contact and correction requests: the email address and message you submit are sent to the configured contact mailbox. The application does not intentionally publish them.
- Email updates: an email address submitted through a newsletter form is stored with subscription timestamps.
- Digital downloads: the email address and item requested are stored in a download record. The address is added to the email-update list only if you select the separate, optional subscription box.
- Accounts: if you use an account feature, the site stores the account name, email address, password hash, verification and reset information, and associated session records.
Please do not put sensitive personal information in a contact or correction message unless it is necessary for us to understand the request.
How the information is used
Information is used to operate and secure the site, receive and process messages and correction requests, provide requested downloads, administer accounts, keep the email-update list, understand site performance and readership, display and measure advertising, diagnose errors, and meet legal obligations. We do not provide telephone, SMS, push-notification, or public-user-posting features through the current site.
Anti-spam checks
Contact, newsletter, and download forms use Cloudflare Turnstile. The browser loads Cloudflare’s widget, and the server sends the resulting token and the visitor’s IP address to Cloudflare for verification. A message or form submission is not accepted when that check fails.
Analytics, advertising, and service providers
In production, the site loads third-party services that may receive technical information and use cookies or similar identifiers:
- Google Analytics for audience and traffic measurement.
- Microsoft Clarity for interaction and performance analysis.
- Journey and Grow by Mediavine for advertising, audience, and publisher features.
- Bugsnag for application error and performance monitoring.
- Cloudflare Turnstile for form-abuse prevention.
- Google Fonts and Bunny Fonts for externally hosted font files.
- Hosting, database, storage, and email providers needed to serve the site and deliver contact messages.
Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices and may process it in other countries. Their exact cookies, identifiers, and retention periods are controlled by the provider and can change independently of this application.
Cookies and browser storage
The application uses necessary session and security cookies so requests, forms, and signed-in areas work. Production analytics, advertising, anti-spam, and audience tools may use additional cookies or browser storage. On the live site, Journey’s consent manager currently provides an “Update Privacy Settings” control near the footer where applicable; use that control to revisit the choices it manages. The application does not set a separate first-party cookie for a cookie-notice choice or provide an additional cookie-settings panel. Your browser can also block or delete cookies, although doing so may prevent forms or account features from working.
Sharing and disclosure
Information may be disclosed to the service providers described above where needed to provide their service or where disclosure is required by law. The current site does not have public areas in which visitors can publish personal information to other users. No parent company, affiliate, or business-partner relationship is asserted in this policy.
Retention
No automated deletion period is implemented for newsletter or download records; they remain until manually deleted. Contact messages follow the configured mailbox and email provider’s retention. Account and session records follow the application’s account and session settings. In production, failed requests and reportable errors may create limited internal Telescope diagnostic records; sensitive form fields are redacted, and records older than 24 hours are scheduled for deletion by a daily pruning task. Third-party analytics, advertising, security, and error data follow the relevant provider’s settings. You may request deletion using the contact route below, subject to records that must be retained for security or legal reasons.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an objection to certain uses of personal information. You can also ask to be removed from the email-update list. If you have an account, the profile area provides an account-deletion option. To make a request, use the Contact and Corrections page and include the email address associated with the record.
Children and security
The application does not provide an age-verification flow. A child should not submit personal information without the involvement of a parent or guardian where that is required. The application uses access controls, CSRF protection, password hashing, sensitive-field redaction, and form-abuse checks, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Changes and contact
Material changes will be posted on this page and reflected in the “Last updated” date. For a privacy question, rights request, complaint, or unsubscribe request, use the Contact and Corrections page.
