Meaning at a glance
Possum dreams at a glance
A possum or opossum dream can bring resourcefulness to mind, especially if the animal responds to a difficult scene in an unexpected way. Playing dead may evoke a useful retreat or the habit of avoiding conflict. Digging can suggest making somewhere safer to begin again. Climbing may make the dream more about gaining enough distance to see what to do next.

What did the possum do?
It plays dead
The scene can reflect the wish to go unnoticed when a situation feels overwhelming. Think about whether stepping back gave you a chance to recover or meant you could no longer take part in resolving the problem.
The possum digs
Digging can evoke finding shelter or preparing somewhere to begin again. Notice whether it looked like the animal was hiding or putting effort into making its surroundings more workable.
It climbs a tree
Climbing can suggest gaining perspective. If the movement felt freeing, consider which situation you would like to see from further away before deciding how to respond.

Use retreat with a clear purpose
Name one concern you have been keeping at a distance. If you need more time, consider what that time will let you do and how you will recognise when you are ready to return.
